Chantel Hargreaves and 2 friends, Claire and Vicky took part in a Half Ironman as a relay team on 18th July 2021 in sunny Eastbourne.
The relay race saw Vicky completing a 1.2-mile sea swim, Chantel a 56-mile bike ride, and Claire completing the challenge with a 13.1-mile run.
Chantel said “I am raising money for the Sussex Cancer Fund who treated and supported me through recent treatment for cancer. The team are amazing at what they do every day. So it felt only right to raise money towards the vital and important work they do every day of the year. It was an amazing experience for the 3 of us to be part of and we had amazing weather albeit too hot! But we loved it so much that two of us have entered this year to complete the 1/2 Ironman Middle Distance individually. “
The amazing trio raised £186.25 to go towards the Sussex Cancer Funds work. Thank you Ladies and to all who supported you.
