For the last 2 years, the Sussex Cancer Fund has enjoyed the support of our Busines Partner Mayo Wynne Baxter. Mayo Wynne Baxter (MWB) are a Sussex based law firm with offices throughout the county. Their company strapline is something as a cancer charity we completely understand and can relate to:

The community-spirited firm chooses a charity to support for a two year period. They feel that by focussing their efforts on just one charity and for at least two years they can be sure they can make a real difference – and they certainly have!
During our time as their chosen charity, the team at MWB have held over 30 fundraising events and raised more than £17k. The ingenuity they have used to come up with ever more interesting and different events has been exceptional. They have held everything from a private screening of a feature film through to a full-on medieval banquet. They have baked for us, dressed up for us and run numerous races for us and a team from MWB even abseiled down the i360 with us. The way the whole staff embraced challenges to support us has been truly humbling.

They are a Charity that does amazing things for the Sussex Community, we have been very impressed with the many ways they use the funds that they receive. They manage to achieve the maximum results and benefit from every penny they get, and the patient’s benefit is primary.
They are a lovely team and it’s very easy to work with them to our mutual benefit, nothing is too much trouble for them.
We have done some great fundraising events for them and with them, which all our staff have made happen, engaged in and enjoyed. Everything from bake-off’s, raffles, dress down days, golf days, abseiled down the i360 to a fully themed Medieval Banquet.”
The Sussex Cancer Fund is a relatively small organisation and the contribution we have had from Mayo Wynne Baxter is a really significant part of our revenue but it is not just the funds we have benefitted from, they have offered us advice on many occasions and helped us raise our profile in the business community but on top of all that we have made some friends and had some fun along the way!
