An Inky Fundraiser from Shoreline Ink

Tattoo fundraising for sussex cancer fund charity‘Wurze’ a tattoo artist from Shoreline Ink, 89 Church Road, Hove, (inside DNK Hair), held an open day inviting clients to come and have a tattoo with all the proceeds going to the Sussex Cancer Fund.

Wurze has been tattooing in Hove for 25 Years and his open day which included a raffle raised over £1400. People queued for more than four hours to get tattooed at the fundraiser.

Wurz was diagnosed with throat cancer at the end of May last year. He went into Worthing Hospital to have his tonsils removed and a biopsy on the root of his tongue. After that, he went through chemotherapy treatment for two months. When he had finished his treatment he wanted to create a unique fundraiser, so he donated his time and over 20 tattoos.

 

Wurze said: “I honestly cannot fault the Sussex Cancer Centre.”

“Everyone was lovely, from the receptionist to the oncologist and even the coffee lady.

“They were amazing, so nice and patient. I was given the all-clear just before Christmas.” “I felt I got showed such good care and attention at the Sussex Cancer Centre so wanted to give something back:
