Sussex Raceday at Plumpton Racecourse – Sunday 3rd April

Join us for Sussex Race Day at Plumpton Racecourse, raising breast cancer awareness and funds. There will be experts on hand from the West Sussex Breast Care Centre, as well as all the excitement of a Day at the Races!

The event will be raising funds for a West Sussex Breast Centre project to buy an RFID LoCalizer. Breast localization can help surgeons precisely locate and surgically remove breast abnormalities. The new RFID LoCalizer would offer a much less evasive procedure for patients, which would also mean fewer pre-surgery visits.

Sussex Raceday has lots on offer in addition to an exciting day’s racing. There will be a performance by the Sussex Yeomanry, demonstrations from Sussex Falconry, as well as live music throughout the day, and the Sussex Farmers Market will have an array of Sussex produce for you to sample.

Charity Lunch with the Moores

Plumpton Racecourse are also hosting a lunch with the Moore family the county’s most successful horse racing operation. To raise money and awareness for the Sussex Cancer Fund and West Sussex Breast Care Centre, you can enjoy a two-course lunch whilst learning about the lives of this racing family dynasty. As well as some fascinating stories, they will also offer their expert advice on the upcoming Aintree Grand National Festival.

Hosted by racing broadcaster Mike Cattermole, there will be an auction, silent auction, and raffle to raise yet further money for this great Charity that affects so many of us.

Tickets cost £80 per person, or £750 per table of ten, with each ticket sale directly supporting Sussex Cancer Fund. Admission and a racecard are included in the package alongside the two-course lunch and an afternoon spent with the Moore family.
