Afternoon Tea At The Grand

Afternoon Tea at The Grand

We were delighted to welcome so many colleagues and friends of the Sussex Cancer Fund this week to our Afternoon Tea At the Grand Brighton. We were very well looked after by the staff at The Grand who provided a very generous delicious tea of sandwiches, cakes and pastries, including of course scones and fresh cream. More than 50% of the ticket price has gone to The Sussex Cancer Fund to help us continue to help Cancer Patients and their families throughout Sussex.

As well as enjoyable, the afternoon was very informative with talks from Dr David Bloomfield, Chairman of Sussex Cancer Fund and Professor Malcolm Reed, Dean and Professor of Surgical Oncology at Brighton and Sussex Medical School. Dr Sally Appleyard a research fellow funded by the charity and Julia Lenton the Fund manager were also on hand to answer any questions from the guests.

To round off the afternoon there was a raffle with many prizes kindly donated including an originally pastel illustration given by one of the charity’s most active Business Ambassadors, Shirley Price.

We would like to thank all our speakers, guests and the Grand Hotel for making the event such a success.
